Vice Minister Han Jun met with Mr. Adrian Aebi, Assistant Director General of the Federal Office for Agriculture of Switzerland (FOAG), in Bern on August 29, 2019. They exchanged views on further practical cooperation between China and Switzerland in agriculture and rural affairs.
Vice Minister Han Jun stated that China and Switzerland enjoy a very long and profound history of friendship and sound bilateral relations, particularly in economic and trade relations. As an important component of bilateral relations, agricultural cooperation has yielded remarkable achievements. Based on mutual benefits and win-win results, China stands ready to strengthen cooperation and exchanges with Switzerland in areas of common interest including agricultural trade, sustainable agricultural development, rural development, agricultural insurance and farmers' education.
Aebi fully agreed with Vice Minister Han Jun's proposals, expressing that Switzerland is willing to further and expand agricultural cooperation in various fields with China.
